Teff Flour Chocolate Brownies
I’m sure if you’ve ever tried to find gluten free treats when shopping, you’ll have come across brownies. There are good brownies and pretty poor brownies. But homemade brownies are always the best. I’ve been experimenting more and more with a range of gluten free flours. I have to say hands down these Teff Flour Chocolate Brownies are now one of my favourites.

Ingredients for teff flour chocolate brownies
- 115g baking margarineÂ
- 55g cocoa powder
- 3Â free range medium eggs
- 225g caster sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 90g Brown Teff flour
- Preheat the oven to 180c /gas mark 4. Line a swiss roll tin.
- Melt the margarine in a small saucepan. Remove from the heat and stir in the cocoa powder.
- With an electric mixer, whisk the eggs, sugar and vanilla together until pale in colour and thick. Stir in the cocoa mixture.
- Fold in the Teff flour.
- Spoon the mixture into the tin.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Leave to cool before cutting into squares.
