Chocolate Banana bread (Gluten free)
Sick of plain banana bread? Have a change and try this chocolate and banana bread recipe. I’ve made it as a tray bake. As they are quick and simple to make.
I love using up bananas in my bakes and when combined with chocolate you are on to a winner. For the best flavor, choose really ripe bananas. The type my kids would never touch!

Cooking with Kids?
This is a great recipe to make with children. Get them to help with the weighing and measuring. Kids love to help mixing up the cake too.
Use a regular potato masher, instead of an electric whisk. For great fun squishing the bananas.
Just ensure caution is taken when placing in and taking out of the oven.
Do I need any specialist equipment?
No specialist equipment needed. If you don’t have an electric whisk for breaking up the bananas. Use a potato masher or even a fork will do. Just make sure that you have really soft banana. If you choose this option.
Is it Vegan?
This recipe is suitable for people following a gluten free diet and vegetarians. The recipe could be adapted for a vegan diet, by replacing the eggs with either a flax seed egg or peanut butter could work too. I have a great egg replacement guide here.
